FLEXCO BOLT SOLID PLATE FASTENING SYSTEM
The Flexco® Bolt Solid Plate Fastening System produces a strong, sift-free splice with superior holding ability thanks to a combination of top-and-bottom plate compression and high-tensile-strength bolts.
Installation Tools and Supplies
The only tools needed for Bolt Solid Plate fastener installation are a templet and portable hand or power tools such as wrenches and belt punches. Impact wrench driven power tools are recommended and can reduce installation time by at least 50%.
Flexco-Lok® Tape : Rigid nylon tape helps eliminate belt ripples on plied or solid-woven belting so belts run smoothly over pulleys and under cleaners. Also helps seal splices against seepage of fines and moisture.
Cracking Chisel : With a hammer and cracking chisel, individual worn plates can be easily replaced – without resorting to replacement of the entire splice.
FLEXCO RIVET HINGED FASTENING SYSTEM
The Flexco® SR™ Rivet Hinged Fastening System is ideal for use on rubber-plied and PVC solid woven belting and for worn belts unfit for vulcanized splices, delivering performance and long life with easy installation.
The SRTM (Self-Setting Rivet) Fastener utilizes staggered pattern, multiple rivet attachments that pass between carcass fibers without severing them. The specially shaped head of each pilot nail works in conjunction with the installation tool anvil plate to set the rivets. The same hammer blows that set the rivets also compress the fastener plates into the belt covers. This provides maximum holding ability and distributes splice tension evenly across the width of the belt.
Installation Tools and Supplies
MSRT Multiple Rivet Driving Tool Easy-to-use, portable tool that makes multiple rivet driving simple and fast. The MSRT tool holds the belt, fastener strip, and the guide block (included) securely in place. Using the multiple drive rod, up to 8 rivets can be driven simultaneously. Plus, each guide block holds enough rivets to install four fastener plates before reloading.
FLEXCO RIP REPAIR FASTENERS
Flexco Bolt Solid Plate Fasteners can also be used for rip repair. For jagged, lengthwise conveyor belt tears, standard Bolt Solid Plate Fasteners can be combined with three-bolt Rip Repair Fasteners. Rip Repair Fasteners can also be used to bridge “soft” spots in the belt before they become rips.
